With the GTC conference taking place, where will NVIDIA’s stock price go?

NVIDIA’s annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) will be held from March 17 to March 21 in San Jose, California. This event has become a major occasion in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), with the industry eagerly anticipating the release of new products and technologies. Given the recent underperformance of U.S. tech stocks, the GTC conference could serve as a catalyst for a rebound in the tech sector.

NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, will deliver the keynote speech from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM (HKT) on March 19. At last year’s GTC, NVIDIA launched the next-generation AI chip “Blackwell” and software “NIM” for running AI models. This year’s conference is also highly anticipated, particularly with the expected release of the Blackwell Ultra chip (GB300). Investors have high expectations for Huang’s speech, hoping it will generate enough optimism to further boost NVIDIA’s stock price.

Recently, market sentiment has been influenced by uncertainties surrounding Trump’s tariff policies and concerns about the potential pressure on tech companies’ spending in the AI sector, leading to a more skeptical outlook on the stock. Additionally, NVIDIA’s main revenue sources are facing pressures from technological shifts and the development of quantum computing. Some statements regarding this technology have led to a sharp decline in the stock prices of companies betting on it. Therefore, investors are particularly focused on whether NVIDIA can meet its performance expectations, especially with strong performance from the Blackwell chip series and a recovery in profit margins, which could help drive the company’s stock price recovery.
