環聯:去年第四季信用卡結欠按年增12.5% 料受消費信心復甦帶動
信貸資料服務機構環聯(TRU.US)發布最新《信貸行業分析報告》,顯示由於去年7月至8月夏季銷售旺季刺激消費者需求,去年第三季新增信用卡宗數較2022年按年增長2.9%。而於傳統節日購物旺季的第四季期間,消費者在假日充分利用信用卡進行消費活動,因此信用卡應繳款項結欠更較去年同期增長12.5%。當中非必要開支和零售開支很可能佔信用卡結欠的主要部份,然而與旅遊相關的大量消費活動亦不容忽視。
去年第四季受惠於金融機構在此期間為消費者提供的一系列全新旅遊獎賞計劃,很多消費者均積極回應參與相關消費活動。香港市民的強勁消費意願亦見於年度大型促銷活動「雙十一」之中。去年11月11日當天的銷售額較2022年按年增長266%,凸顯消費者已重拾消費信心。
環聯亞太區研究與諮詢首席顧問孫威瀚表示,分析顯示,消費者在2023年第四季較去年同期更願意消費。在疫情出入境限制撤銷、市場完全重新開放後,新增信用卡宗數因以往被壓抑的需求得以釋放而呈指數級增長。因應各項開支和消費活動的增加,應繳款項結欠亦相應提升。公司正密切留意消費者信貸信心的復甦會否延續至今年首季,特別是在農曆新年期間會否進一步刺激增長。
儘管2023年第三季的私人貸款新信貸查詢量有所增長,同期的新增貸款宗數卻較2022年第三季下跌5.5%,顯示金融機構於貸款審批上可能更為謹慎。縱觀所有風險級別的新增私人貸款宗數時,只有超優級別出現11.6%的增長,而其他所有風險級別的新增宗數則錄得介乎2.1%至10.1%的下跌。然而,即使新增私人貸款宗數在大多風險級別均出現下跌,但來自較低風險級別(超優)的新增貸款平均信貸額度卻較2022年同期增長6.5%。這表明金融機構仍能因為期內應繳款項結欠的3.4%增長而增加其資產價值。
