Facebook取消澳洲及美國用戶新聞頁面功能
Meta(META.US)繼取消英國、法國及德國用戶新聞頁面功能後,將於4月初在美國及澳洲取消相關功能。
Meta稱,取消相關功能不會影響公司與澳洲、法國及德國出版商現有的Facebook新聞協議中的條款,公司將不會在這些國家就傳統新聞內容達成新的商業交易,亦不會在未來專門為新聞出版商提供新的 Facebook 產品。
據澳洲財政部稱,Meta在2021年簽署13項機密協議,向媒體機構購買新聞內容,而該協議即將結束。
Meta今次的行動旨在終止與澳洲新聞媒體的商業關係,可能會令媒體失去7,000萬美元的收入。
