第一太平(00142.HK)：MANILA ELECTRIC COMPANY投資於SP NEW ENERGY CORPORATION
格隆匯10月13日丨第一太平(00142.HK)發佈公吿，茲提述第一太平集團的聯營公司Manila Electric Company(“Meralco”)日期為2023年10月12日的新聞稿。 Meralco在上述新聞稿內公佈，Meralco的全資擁有附屬公司Meralco Powergen Corporation(“MGen”)的可再生能源發展部門MGen Renewable Energy, Inc. (“MGreen”)與SP New Energy Corporation(“SPNEC”)及其母公司Solar Philippines Power Project Holdings, Inc.(“SPH”)已協定投資159億披索(相等於約2.804億美元或22億港元)以認購SPNEC的157億股普通股及194億股可贖回優先有投票權股份。SPNEC為一家在菲律賓證券交易所上市的太陽能項目綜合發展商、擁有人及營運商，並由SPH擁有大多數權益，而SPH的成立旨在加速菲律賓太陽能的發展。
為實現有關投資，SPNEC將會提交申請以增加法定股本。MGreen的新注資將可為其太陽能項目的建造及擴展提供資金。MGreen的投資緊接Metro Pacific Investments Corporation於2023年3月28日所公佈投資20億披索(相等於約3530萬美元或3億港元)向SPH收購SPNEC的16億股普通股。完成後，MGreen的普通股及優先有投票權股份使MGreen成為SPNEC的控股股東，並擁有50.5%總投票權益。
根據Meralco的新聞稿，MGreen已與SPH協定，運用SPNEC作為主要工具，以在呂宋島發展3,500兆瓦的太陽能電池板以及4,000兆瓦時的電池儲能系統。Meralco預計，此舉將為菲律賓的可再生能源作出重大貢獻，而建立該可再生能源平台將可透過結合Meralco的能力及SPNEC的太陽能發展惠及所有持份者。根據該新聞稿，該項目將為全球最大的太陽能項目之一，為實現菲律賓35%的能源來自可再生能源的預期目標作出重大貢獻。
