白宮本周不再派遣高級官員前往底特律 改以Zoom參與車廠罷工談判
美國白宮官員稱,拜登本周不再派遣兩名重要官員前往底特律,協助罷工美國汽車工人聯合會(UAW)和三大汽車公司之間達成新薪酬協議。
美國總統拜登上周表示,他將派遣白宮高級顧問和代理勞工部長支持參與談判,但白客員工周二表示,白宮和汽車工會一致認為,最好透過Zoom進行虛擬會議及發言。
雖然拜登在上周五於演講中支持罷工的汽車工人,不過工會並無熱烈鼓掌,美國汽車工人聯合會主席Shawn Fain認為,白宮在解決爭端方面不會發揮重要作用,如果本周五中午談判未能取得重大進展,工會將對更多福特(F.US)、通用汽車(GM.US)和Stellantis(STLA.US)旗下工廠發動額外罷工。
