沙特航天局局長默罕默德·塔米先生參訪ASPACE香港衞星製造中心
2023年7月4日，沙特航天局董事會副主席兼局長默罕默德·塔米先生率領代表團來到香港航天科技集團/ASPACE衞星技術有限公司，參觀了ASPACE香港衞星製造中心，並與該集團聯席主席兼行政總裁文壹川先生和聯席主席林家禮先生進行了深入交流。

ASPACE香港衞星製造中心是亞太地區最大的衞星製造中心之一，擁有先進的衞星集成、總裝與測試設施設備，以及衞星測運控及衞星數據應用中心。該中心將於2023年7月25日正式開業，屆時將有來自聯合國、國際組織、世界各國航天局、知名航天企業及學術界的100多位嘉賓出席開業典禮。
公開資料顯示，默罕默德·塔米先生的父親是沙特阿拉伯國王薩勒曼，沙特航天局是由沙特國王薩勒曼於2018年下令設立的沙特阿拉伯的國家航天機構，默罕默德·塔米先生被任命為沙特航天局的局長，負責規劃、監督和實施沙特阿拉伯王國的國家航天戰略，並促進沙特阿拉伯王國在科學、技術、工程和數學等領域的發展。
默罕默德·塔米先生參觀ASPACE香港衞星製造中心同時表示了高度讚賞和肯定，他認為該中心展現了香港航天科技集團/ASPACE衞星技術有限公司在商業航天領域的實力和水平，也體現了香港在全球航天產業中的重要地位和作用。
正如他所強調，沙特航天局非常重視與香港航天科技集團/ASPACE衞星技術有限公司的戰略合作關係，希望在衞星製造、發射服務、數據應用等方面開展更多的合作項目，共同推動阿拉伯國家和世界的航天產業發展和創新。
據悉，沙特航天局目前已經成功發射了多顆人造衞星，並計劃在未來幾年內發射更多的衞星，以滿足沙特阿拉伯王國在通信、導航、遙感等方面的需求。
同時，沙特航天局也積極與其他國家和地區的航天機構和企業進行合作，如歐美、日本、韓國、印度、俄羅斯等國的航天機構展開合作。2021年，沙特航天局與中國載人宇航機構簽署合作，於2022年在中國空間站上實施沙特科學任務。
早前已有外媒報道，沙特主權財富基金（旗下一投資基金）對SpaceX新一輪融資的展現出興趣，該輪融資預計對SpaceX的估值約為1400億美元。因此，本次沙特航天局局長默罕默德·塔米先生到訪上市公司香港航天科技的ASPACE香港衞星製造中心，雙方高層會面後的“祕密會談”更讓外界產生了足夠的聯想，沙特對航天衞星行業所展現出的濃烈興趣，以及想借助產業領先者快速加入行業爆發浪潮的想法或路徑，或已逐漸明晰，不妨拭目以待。
