財報速讀 | SNAP盤後大跌27%,信心弱到直接取消下季指引,臉書谷歌們還能好嗎?
Snap Inc公佈了第三季度財報,數據顯示了自五年前上市以來最慢的收入增長,原因是廣告商在通脹上升和烏克蘭戰爭的情況下削減了支出。 財報公佈後,Snap股價在盤後交易中暴跌27%。
其實營收增長放緩市場已早有預期,SNAP的成績單(11.3億美元,市場預期11.4億美元,同比增長5.7%)只是略微差於分析師預測的平均值,爲什麼會如此暴跌?只因公司一句話讓原本就已微弱的期待灰飛煙滅。管理層說,營收增長正在持續放緩,未來的挑戰巨大,導致他們對於營收的預見性變得很差,所以不提供四季度的指引了。
Snapchat是美股本財季第一家交成績單的知名科技公司,結果差到連指引都不給了,這給其他依賴廣告收入的平臺也造成了陰影,例如Facebook和谷歌、 Pinterest,它們都將於下週公佈財報。
關於業績看不到改善前景的原因,一是蘋果2021年對iOS系統的隱私更新仍然是SNAP跟蹤用戶能力的障礙,從而其互聯網廣告業務遭到削弱。Meta的Facebook等社交媒體也面臨一樣情況。
此外,美國經濟放緩和衰退的可能性加劇也導致許多廣告商暫停或減少廣告支出。
在新聞稿中,SNAP稱:“我們發現,我們在許多行業的廣告合作夥伴正在減少他們的營銷預算,特別是在面臨運營環境變差、通脹驅動的成本壓力和資本成本上升的情況下。”
作爲降低成本計劃的一部分,SNAP稱,將關閉幾個昂貴的項目,包括計劃以230美元單價出售的Pixy無人機。SNAP還終結了其Snap Originals優質節目的製作。
8月,SNAP宣佈將裁員超過1000名員工,約佔6000名員工的20%。遣散費和相關費用佔報告期內重組費用的很大一部分。
與第二季度財報發佈時一樣,SNAP董事會批準了一項高達5億美元的股票回購計劃。截至三季度末,該公司擁有44億美元的現金、現金等價物和有價證券。
