財庫局稱豁免市場莊家特定交易股票印花稅對收入影響甚微
政府計劃今年內修訂法例,豁免市場莊家就雙幣股票進行特定交易涉及的股票買賣印花稅,冀改善人民幣計價股票流動性,及收窄與港元計價股票價差問題。
財經事務及庫務局發言人回覆《香港電台》查詢時表示,有關建議對政府收入造成的負面影響甚微。假如不提供建議的印花稅豁免,金融機構會礙於成本而選擇不擔任市場莊家。而即使市場莊家機制交易存在,交易量將非常有限。
另外,透過在港股通增加人民幣櫃檯,政府預計會吸引更多內地投資者,尤其是因為貨幣兌換成本,而未有參與的投資者。有關股票的流動性提升,將有助吸引更多新的投資者參與股票交易,從而可以為庫房帶來額外的印花稅收入。
