Counterpoint:4 monthly Top Ten Best-selling smartphones in the World iPhone ranks the top four
In April, AAPL.US outperformed its peers with five models in the top 10 best-selling smartphones in the world, with the top four being iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 12, with a market share of 5.5%, 3.4%, 1.8% and 1.6%, respectively, while iPhone SE 2022 ranked seventh with 1.4%, according to market research firm Counterpoint. As for Samsung, there are four models on the list, Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G and Galaxy A13 occupy fifth and sixth places respectively, with a market share of 1.5% and 1.4%, respectively, while Galaxy A03 Core and Galaxy A535G also occupy eighth and ninth places, with a market share of 1.4% and 1.3%, respectively. As for Redmi Note 11 LTE, which ranks tenth with 01810.HK, it has a market share of 1.3 per cent. Sales of the 10 smartphones accounted for 21% of the total smartphone market in April, according to the report. Apple's five models accounted for 89% of its total sales that month. Samsung Electronics accounts for only 22% of its total sales because of its diversified product portfolio. On the list, the number of smartphones supporting 5G has increased, from four in the same period last year to a record-breaking seven, while 5G phones on the list account for 1/3 of total 5G smartphone sales.
