海洋公園、渣打、富豪酒店等購入The Sandbox虛擬土地 建設元宇宙文化中心
Animoca Brands旗下去中心化虛擬遊戲The Sandbox宣佈引入新一批香港合作夥伴,共同建立元宇宙文化中心的第二階段Mega City 2,合作夥伴包括海洋公園、渣打集團(02888.HK)、富豪酒店集團(00078.HK)、Tatler Asia、EVI、Brinc、MADworld、Gameone、Chord Hero、「時空門」及優孚奧學校。
The Sandbox聯合創辦人兼首席營運官Sebastien Borget表示,The Sandbox已與超過200個合作夥伴達成合作,截至今年2月有超過1.9萬名「地主」,平臺虛擬貨幣「SAND」市值達到100億美元。平臺將於下週四(28日)舉行Mega City 2 土地銷售活動,開放銷售Mega City社區的虛擬土地。
海洋公園公司行政總裁黃嗣輝表示,與The Sandbox的合作是海洋公園品牌策略的重要發展,指出今年爲公園成立45週年,期望爲旅客提供嶄新的虛擬體驗,未來或發行一系列公園最具代表性事物及景點的非同質化代幣(NFT)。他透露,是次所購得虛擬土地大小爲6X6格,預期足夠建立海洋公園元宇宙,未有使用來自政府的資金,亦預期無需要額外撥款。
富豪酒店集團則計劃於The Sandbox元宇宙內建設首個名爲MetaGreen的綠色環保都市,當中設有互動主題區,包括未來嶄新主義「零碳排放」酒店及住宅、元宇宙會議展覽中心;與銀行及零售商戶建立具規模的綠色環保商場;設立虛擬教室提供中學環保教育課程等。
富豪酒店集團副主席羅寶文透露,MetaGreen將於今年10月推出,期待透過MetaGreen舉辦創新科技的線上線下活動,目前已與恆生銀行(00011.HK)、City Super及LOG-ON達成合作。
