匯豐廖宜建:「港股通」人民幣計價部分可研究擴至期貨及碳排放交易層面
匯豐亞太區聯席行政總裁廖宜建在香港經濟峰會論壇表示,十四五規劃提出支持本港提升國際金融中心和航運中心,並強化香港作為全球人民幣離岸中心、國際資產管理中心、風險管理中心等,是對本港過去成績認可,及未來發展定位及復甦方向。
他指,本港在人民幣資金池仍有很大擴展空間,在跨境人民幣零售支付方面,若未來衣食住行及企業出糧可使用人民幣,將增加本港人民幣存款規模,屆時資金要找出路,就會增加人民幣投資產品需要。
對於本港研究在「港股通」南向交易加入人民幣計價,廖宜建認為,可考慮擴大互聯互通至期貨和與碳排放交易層面發展。
