匯豐廖宜建:港府首次發行歐元計價綠債可擴闊投資者類別
香港特區政府發行30億美元等值的美元及歐元綠色債券,香港上海匯豐銀行聯席行政總裁廖宜建表示,匯豐很高興能參與香港特區政府第三次綠色債券發行的工作。其中,首次發行的歐元計價綠債擴闊了特區綠債的投資者類別,並為各項綠色措施,包括最新公布的香港氣候行動藍圖2050提供資金。除了定期發行綠債,港府更通過制訂相關政策,以及積極倡議發展香港成為全球綠色金融中心,全方位地發揮領導角色。
他指,亞太區可持續金融的發展步伐令人鼓舞,促進區內經濟體加快綠色、低碳、可持續發展。除香港以外,印尼及南韓政府近日亦相繼發行歐元綠債。匯豐已先後參與香港特區政府三次的綠色債券發售。此外,匯豐亦於今年9月和10月,分別參與印尼及南韓政府發行以歐元計價的綠色債券。
