摩通起訴特斯拉認股權證交易違約 索償逾1.62億美元
《路透》報道,摩根大通(JPM.US)在紐約曼哈頓聯邦法院提違約訴訟,指電動車製造商特斯拉(TSLA.US)未能按合同規定支付與認股權證交易有關的款項,要求賠償超過1.62億美元。
根據提交予法院的訴狀,特斯拉在2014年向摩根大通出售認股權證,若認股權證在今年6月和7月到期時,其執行價格低於特斯拉的股價,認股權證將獲利。
摩根大通稱有權調整行使價,稱在特斯拉創辦人馬斯克於2018年8月7日在社交媒體發文,稱他可能以每股420美元的價格將特斯拉私有化後大幅降低了行使價,並於馬斯克放棄有關想法後撤銷了部分行使價的降低。
當認股權證到期時,特斯拉股價上升約10倍,摩根大通要求特斯拉根據合同交付其股票或現金,摩通認爲特斯拉未能做到即相當於違約。
