联交所对东岳集团(00189.HK)和十位董事采取纪律行动，包括谴责公司执行董事张建宏及批评公司前执行董事刘传奇未有履行其董事责任，违反《上市规则》第3.08(f)条的规定，且因未有尽力遵守《上市规则》，违反他们以《上市规则》附录五B所载表格形式向联交所作出的《董事声明及承诺》所载的责任。
联交所上市上诉委员会进一步批评东岳集团於2015年及2016年延迟刊发三套财务业绩及报告，违反《上市规则》第十三章的若干规定。
联交所指，该公司延迟刊载及派发三套财务业绩及报告，公司於2016年4月1日就延迟刊发2015全年业绩及有关委任专业事务所对若干受指控的财务交易(有问题交易)中怀疑的挪用公款案进行法证审阅的事宜刊发公告。由於有银行承兑票据形式的闲置资金，该公司於2011年开始从事由银行安排的委托贷款业务。
有问题交易包括两家附属於2013年第四季左右至2015年第一季左右透过中国内地的银行向若干人士提供的委托贷款共9.782亿元人民币，由当时任职财务总监的高层职员及结算中心主管安排；及两笔保证金共5亿元人民币，由该两家附属公司用於向另一家内地银行作抵押，以於2014年12月左右向有关人士中的两名人士借出同等金额的贷款。
委托贷款项下的9.782亿元人民币已到期，但有关人士并未偿还。两笔保证金(共5亿元人民币)因借方未有还款而遭没收。该公司声称有问题交易是该公司理财业务的一部分，而有关业务由财务总监负责。公司於2015年9月透过内部审计发现有问题交易。该次内部审计结果指出该公司并无用於侦测异常状况及风险管理的机制，因此未能发现异常情况以及监控委托贷款及理财风险。
另外，公司於2015年11月向中国公安当局举报挪用公款案。根据该公司公告披露，公安局逮捕了一系列人士，包括公司财务总监及结算中心的两名出纳员、有关人士的负责人以及若干涉事内地银行的员工，而公安局已对有关的多名人士作出刑事起诉。
