祈耀年:比特幣波動且缺透明度 匯控(00005.HK)無計劃推加密貨幣交易服務
據《路透》報道,匯豐控股(00005.HK)行政總裁祈耀年指,無意推出加密貨幣交易服務或為客戶提供數碼貨幣投資的選項,主要基於其波動性及缺乏透明度。他指出考慮到其波動性,不會將比特幣當作資產類別、在財富管理業務中作推廣,而基於類似的原因,該行亦不會急於參與「穩定幣」(Stablecoin)。
祈耀年透露他對加密貨幣的質疑源於其透明度,除難以了解由誰擁有外,在轉換至認可的貨幣時亦存在問題。他認為雖然比特幣是資產類別多於支付工具,但基於其波動性,在客戶的資產負債表中難作估值。(el/a) ~
