美参议员调查Western Digital等企业有否违规向华为出售硬碟
美国共和党参议员Roger Wicker致函东芝美国电子零件公司、Seagate(STX.US)及Western Digital(WDC.US),查问有否不当向华为供应外国生产的硬碟。
他称,去年美国商务部推出新规,限制华为采购使用特定美国技术或软件生产的硬碟等产品,因此正调查上述全球主要硬碟供应商有否遵守这项规定。
Western Digital发声明称,在2020年9月中就停止向华为发货,同时亦申请向华为销售的许可证,但申请至今仍未获批。
Wicker还将信件转寄美国商务部长雷蒙多,希望她对被发现违规的企业采取行动,认为华为严重损害国家安全。
