美国要求澳洲废除科技巨擘向媒体付费的拟议法例

美国政府已要求澳洲废除拟议法例,不再强迫Facebook(FB.US)及谷歌支付来自当地媒体的新闻。

美国助理贸易代表Daniel Bahar及Karl Ehlers向澳洲政府提供意见书,建议澳洲改为进一步研究市场,并酌情制定自愿守则,因美国政府担心通过立法、有针对性规管市场参与者,将明显损害两间美国公司。

澳洲财长弗吕登贝格(Josh Frydenberg)在一份声明中指,政府将致力实施一项强制性法规,以解决与数码平台及媒体在议价能力上不平衡的问题。

他补充,该法规是由澳洲竞争与消费者委员会(ACCC)进行18个月的审查以及广泛协商之後得出的,ACCC的调查发现,每100澳元的网上广告开支中,有53澳元流向谷歌,28澳元流向Facebook,只有19澳元流向其他媒体公司。
