麥樸思:螞蟻暫緩上市非單一事件 范智廉:監管當局對金融科技巨擘感焦慮
Mobius Capital Partners創辦人,有「新興市場之父」之稱的國際投資者麥樸思(Mark Mobius)在《CNBC》視像會議上稱,螞蟻集團暫緩上市是時勢使然。他指出,中國政府正覺醒,不能容許巨企主導特定行業,特別是金融業。他進一步稱,相信內地政府介入,是因為明白到需要規管那些巨企,不能讓它們過於龐大。他補充其他新興市場亦有相同考慮,關係到私隱及其他因素。
被問及螞蟻集團暫緩上市是否單一事件,他指,當然不是,並警告中國政府或考慮進一步規管科技行業。麥樸思稱,中國科技行業發展非常迅速,中國政府現明白到不能讓它們失控,因為會破壞整個金融結構。
同場匯控(00005.HK)前董事會主席、標準人壽安本主席范智廉(Douglas Flint)表示,螞蟻集團暫緩上市反映中央銀行及監管機構有需要控制金融穩定。他指出,支付、轉帳及投資現時多透過網上進行。范智廉稱,金融科技有益於消費者,有利競爭,下降中介成本,然而由於金融科技巨擘主導市場的規模,監管當局及政策制訂者開始感到焦慮。他認為,金融穩定的考慮或導致螞蟻集團暫緩上市。
