零售管理協會:料長假期「旺丁不旺財」人流復甦但生意仍弱
零售管理協會主席謝邱安儀在電話會議中指出,8月份整體零售銷售按年跌13.1%,跌幅似乎有所收窄,但其實去年8月份已開始受社會事件影響,意味對零售業仍有嚴重影響,事實上倘與正常水平比較,跌幅仍十分嚴峻。
她指出按類別劃分,新鮮或急凍魚類及禽畜肉類、新鮮蔬果以及超市均呈升勢,升幅亦達雙位數,相信是因為8月份首三周仍受第三波疫情影響,市民大部分時間多留在家中煮食帶動相關升勢。
她指出跌幅的第一重災區仍然是鐘錶珠寶、化妝品等,相關跌幅接近四成,另外眼鏡、書報文具及禮品等,跌幅亦達三成,考慮到去年同期8月份已同樣有嚴重跌幅,意味形勢嚴峻。而受疫情影響酒類飲品及煙草零售銷售跌幅達77.6%,麵包、糕餅、糖果及餅乾跌幅亦達34.6%,但相信是受中秋節日期所影響。
她透露,9月份相對整體情況與8月份相差不遠,第一重災區仍然是鐘錶珠寶、健康食品及化妝品等,業界反映跌幅最多跌約四至六成,而第二重災區則是服裝、眼鏡及個人護理產品,跌幅達兩至三成,而第三重災區則是百貨、電器及汽車,跌幅介乎一至兩成左右,而銷售呈升勢的則主要是日常用品、家具、食品及便利店等。
而踏入10月份,她指出由於去年跌幅已較大,加上受惠中秋節長假期帶動,相信個別行業有回暖跡象,但仍限於日常用品等,其他類別回暖情況仍未見,較多是「旺丁不旺財」,即是人流有所復甦但生意上依然很弱,消費力度亦未見有很大幫助。針對有商場指疫情緩和或出現「報復式消費」情況,但她指出香港較難出現這樣的情況,料四日假期市民或會增加外出,但僅對日常用品等有支撐。
她又引述會員指,有一半公司有要求員工放無薪假,部分公司亦有減薪情況,但受惠「保就業」計劃幫助,故料裁員方面相對穩定。但她透露部分公司選擇關店或不續租,情況與之前相若,而在租金方面亦未有起色,8至9月份情況亦未見改善,雖然有業主願意減租,但減幅越來越窄,而願意減租的店舖亦越來越少。
