华特迪士尼对政府不延续第二期用地认购权感失望
政府宣布,竹篙湾毗邻香港迪士尼乐园度假区土地认购权有效期届满,考虑到现时经济状况不会延长该认购权的有效期。华特迪士尼公司(DIS.US)对政府决定表示极度失望,发言人指过去15年,公司一直坚守承诺,致力投资於香港迪士尼乐园度假区,推动香港旅游业的经济发展,未来亦会继续投入资金於现时的扩建计划。
商务及经济发展局发言人则指,政府认为主题乐园公司於未来数年集中发展及扩建现有的度假区,而非於有关用地进行扩建,是谨慎的做法。
