渣打調查:逾三分一港人疫情期間收入減少
渣打銀行的一項調查顯示,新型冠狀病毒疫情對全球個人財務造成重大影響,超過三分之一的受訪者指收入減少,很多人預期疫情會進一步影響收入及工作。
在香港,28%受訪者表示收入在過去一個月減少,低於全球平均的34%。四成一表示他們的消費上升,而30%則表示需要增加借貸。疫情對自僱人士財務造成的影響最大,36%香港受訪者表示收入減少,48%更表示過去一個月的貸款增加。
另外,不少香港受訪者預期未來三至六個月的就業狀況會出現重大轉變,包括裁員(35%)、工時下跌(40%)、薪金減少(37%)。18至24歲的年輕人對能夠成功渡過疫情的信心較低,有41%預期會被裁員,亦有54%預期工時會減少。
調本又發現,普遍港人對個人財務前景較亞洲其他地區悲觀,三成六的受訪者預期個人收入在未來三至六個月會改善,低於中國的50%、台灣的41%、馬來西亞的45%和印尼的62%,但略高於新加坡的33%。兩成港人預期收入會下滑,比率較中國、台灣、馬來西亞及印尼為高。不過,港人在這段困難時期樂意尋求其他渠道增加收入。四成半受訪者表示會透過在金融市場交易或投資以增加收入,超過一半會考慮尋求第二收入來源(56%)或發展新技能(52%)。
是次研究在7月初進行,訪問1.2萬名來自渣打12個市場包括香港、台灣、中國、新加坡、印尼、馬來西亞、印度、阿聯酋、肯亞、巴基斯坦、英國及美國的成年人。
