高盛料美国第二季经济萎缩34% 全年失业率高见15%
高盛因应新型冠状病毒疫情爆发调整对美国经济的预测,料今年失业率将升至15%,远高於最初预期的9%;首季经济将收缩9%,第二季将进一步萎缩34%,是第二次世界大战以来最差的表现。
上周有近330万美国人首次申请失业救济金,高盛预计周四公布的新数据会再多550万人首次申领,认为这将令短期经济带来更大负面影响。高盛预计,全年美国经济将萎缩6.2%,这将比大萧条时期还要差。
不过高盛相信在疫情过後,第三季经济将增长19%,主要推动力来自财政及货币的支持,而制造业的复苏速度将较服务业更快。
