微软及戴尔等与白宫合作研发5G软件 减低对华为依赖
美国白宫正与美国科技公司合作,研发用於新一代5G网络的软件,试图削弱华为的主导地位。
白宫经济顾问库德洛称,合作的美国公司包括微软、戴尔(Dell)及AT&T,大方向是由美国公司完成美国所有的5G架构及基础设施,但诺基亚(Nokia)及爱立信(Ericsson)亦可能会参与,因为这两间公司在美国有庞大业务。
戴尔及微软正在迅速开发能取代许多硬件设备的软件及云端技术,不过整个计划仍处於初步阶段,仍面临许多障碍。此前美国议员提议对开放式5G软件标准的相关研发提供资金支持,库德洛称,政府正在研究这些计划,但尚未决定是否支持。
