Grab与电讯公司Singtel合作申请新加坡数码银行牌照
Uber(优步)竞争对手Grab宣布与新加坡电讯公司Singtel合作,在新加坡申请数码银行全面牌照。
Grab将与Singtel成立合资公司,当中Grab将拥有60%的股份,Singtel将持有其余40%的股份,新公司的目标客户是首次使用数码银行的客户以及中小型企业,因他们一般较难以获批贷款。
虽然Grab的主要业务仍然是召车业务,但业务已经扩展到许多其他领域,Grab於2016年推出GrabPay电子钱包以来,公司还於东南亚地区推出许多金融服务。
新加坡金融管理局在6月时表示,将最多发行5个新数码银行牌照,其中包括两个数码银行全面牌照,这将容许Grab及Singtel等非银行实体接受来自零售客户的存款。
