社交平台脸书(Facebook)加密货币Libra项目主管David Marcus表示,公司推出项目是旨在创造更有效支付系统,但对其他选项持开放态度,除建立新交易单位,亦可建立一系列稳定币,与美元、欧元或英镑挂钩。他表明与货币挂钩的稳定币为公司最新倾向的选项。

Libra项目早前面临多个重要成员退出,包括万事达卡、Visa、Stripe、eBay、PayPal及Booking。全球各地监管机构关注建立新合成货币将颠覆全球金融系统,威胁使用者私隐及助长洗黑钱。G20领袖早前同意严格规管加密货币,并指在多项全球性风除未解除前不应推出有关货币。

Marcus表示公司仍计划明年6月推出Libra,但承认在监管障碍下或不能如期推行。
