金管局乐见三间发钞银行取消低户口结余收费
继汇丰银行及中银香港(02388.HK)後,渣打香港亦於今日(25日)宣布自8月1日起取消个人客户最低结余服务费。
金管局发表回应,指乐见三间发钞银行为多个户口类别取消低户口结余收费和其他户口服务收费,令市民获得更便利的基本银行服务,让普罗大众受惠。
金管局又称,非常重视公众可以获得基本银行服务,并且一直鼓励银行业界在发展业务时,充分落实普及金融的理念。金管局早前推动《公平待客约章》,得到本港所有零售银行支持豁免弱势社群客户的低户口结余收费。该局最近亦推出虚拟银行,进一步促进普及金融的政策目标。
